On 18 July 1997, Dr John Heap, the Director
of the UK based Scott Polar Research Institute, gave an interview with the
Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC)
radio news program. He said, in speaking with the announcer about the history
of Antarctic research after the recent ANARE Jubilee Science Conference, that
the threat of global warming was like the Sword
of Damocles hanging over the head of everyone living below 60 metres (200
feet) above sea level. What did he mean by that statement? How will the waters
get that high? When will they get that high? When will it start? These are very
important questions and the politicians are saying nothing.
The president of
the Maldives said that global warming threatens his nation. He was reported in
the following news extract from the St
Paul Pioneer Express on 25 June 1997:
In an urgent plea for help, island nations at
the Earth Summit are telling an alarming tale of the here and now: The seas
already may be encroaching on their fragile lands. The president of the
Maldives said global warming threatens his nation’s very existence while
industrial giants engage in “sterile debates” about cost factors. Already
low-lying atolls have been abandoned in Micronesia. A UN report on rising
temperatures suggests sea levels may climb a disastrous 2 feet worldwide within
100 years.
Now this does not
make all that much sense does it? The UN report says it may rise some 60
centimetres (2 feet) in 100 years and the islands in Micronesia are being
abandoned already. Dr Heap says 60 metres (200 feet). Who is kidding who and
why?
Since this paper was
written in 1997, we have had a major El Nino and a serious rise in temperatures
in the Pacific.
The rise in world
sea levels is already visible. It is visible on the coast of Australia right
now.
Recently, New
Zealand scientists announced they were concerned that the Antarctic ice cap was
breaking up and drifting away in 10 hectare (25 acre) blocks.
A recent TV documentary in Australia examined the depletion of the
krill and penguin populations in Antarctica. The krill population is down 50%
and the penguin population is down 25%. Why is this?
Krill breed under
the southern ice cap. They live under and from the ice system and breed there.
Krill are small crustaceans like shrimp. They form the basis of the food chain
in the southern oceans. They are the staple food of the whales. The fish are
dependent upon them and the penguins are hence also at risk. If the levels continue
to decrease, we will not have to worry about whale quotas; none will survive.
Since
this time there has been an increase in incidents of the meltdown in the
Antarctic cap.
After
El Nino the increase in temperatures in the Antarctic resulted in viral infections
amongst the sea lion population. Something like 11,000 sea lions died from
viral infections from the warming sea. What would that be? Scientists are now
saying that there are viruses we have never encountered before, locked in the
ice sheafs that are now being released. So we are going to encounter viruses
thousands of years old and we will not be able to deal with them.
Interview with
Jim Titus of the US EPA
In a recent
Internet interview with Jim Titus of the US Environmental Protection Agency, I
posed some simple questions to him about the possibility of the caps melting
and the effects of each cap on the world sea levels. The following is a summary
of the questions and answers.
(Cox) If the Greenland cap melted:
(a)
What is the projected total rise in world sea level?
(b)
What is the speed or time-frame under present estimated conditions?
(Jim Titus) If the entire ice sheet melted, [the seas
would] probably [rise] about six metres. This is likely to take at least one
thousand years. (The EPA report is at http://www.gcrio.org/EPA/sealevel/text.html). The estimates are in Chapter 7. The Greenland section is in
Chapter 4. You are looking at, most likely, only a few centimetres in the next
century but perhaps as much as 30 cm.

(Cox) If the Antarctic cap melted:
(a)
What is the effect of the West basin on sea levels?
(b)
What is the effect of the entire cap on sea levels?
(Jim Titus) [It would be] 6
metres for the West and about 60 metres for the entire ice sheet. This would
take tens [of thousands of years].
(Cox) What is the combined effect on sea levels?
(Jim Titus) Forget East Antarctica. The only plausible
scenario for a large rise is West Antarctica combined with a large Greenland
warming causing a 4-metre rise in 200 years and about 8 metres in 500
years. That is unlikely but the estimates are contained in Chapter 7 of the EPA
report.
(Cox) What is the lack of reflection effect going
to do with the temperature system rather than just the greenhouse gas effect?
(Jim Titus) This feedback is included in the models. The
main reduction in Albedo is the retreat of sea ice, not the glacier, since much
more sunlight hits the sea ice. Note also that melting of the Arctic cap will
come sooner, maybe a few centuries, which would cause a radiative asymmetry
between northern and southern hemispheres.
(Cox) What is the effect of thermo-nuclear devices
being used to melt the caps? It appears that this will make all theories
irrelevant. How many nuclear or other weapons will it take to melt:
(a) the Greenland cap?
(b) the Antarctic
cap?
(Jim Titus) We don’t know.
(Cox) What is the effect of the glaciers on the
total levels?
(Jim Titus) I have already covered this above (see also
Chapter 7 of the report).
(Cox) What is the total thermal effect on sea
levels of a 10-degree rise in world temperatures?
(Jim Titus) A
rough rule of thumb is 30 cm per degree after a few centuries.
(Cox) Have you any other
comments that might be useful in dealing with this matter in a simple and
responsible fashion yet showing the very real dangers involved.
(Jim Titus) Yes.
People need to start figuring out how to plan their shoreline management.
Otherwise we will end up armouring the shores,
especially estuaries, and having no beaches or wetlands. This is long term land
use planning, but far cheaper than cutting fossil fuel use. So if we are even
thinking of the latter, we should do the former too. The sea will rise. It is too
late to stop the whole rise. Yet we develop the coasts as if this was not an
eventuality. We need to change land ownership in some coastal areas so that the
areas will revert to nature as the sea rises.
Jim Titus has
produced details in his wetland policy paper and in his paper on how to protect
wetlands and beaches without hurting property owners.
I then posed
another serious question to him about whether he had considered the effect that
the mass might have in a polar shift from the effect of mass on the earth’s
core.
He frankly
admitted that other people have, but his studies did not. He said that this is
not as big of an issue in the USA. He said that, “studies suggest maybe a 10%
variation in the USA.” He said existing sea level rise is already a problem due
to land subsidence, etc.

these are contained in Chapter 7 of the report. Jim has written on the impacts.

The real answer to
the long term planning problem is to find out how much of the world by
countries will be flooded by rises of 30 cm (1 foot), 50 cm (1.6
feet), 1 metre (3.3 feet), 2 metres (6.6 feet), 5-6 metres (16-19 feet), and so
on. The studies have already been done for the USA. The details are in Jim Titus’
paper Holding Back the Sea.
He said that there is no excuse for not developing these estimates
for Australia and, indeed, every country.
This was a straightforward and hopefully helpful interview to get an
idea of the problem if the estimates are correct based on current rates. No
provision has been made for the effects of nuclear war and/or terrorist
activity or space station laser guided or based weapons systems. Similarly, the
likelihood of the East Antarctic melt is considered slight. This may be an
error. (Now we are finding that it is a serious
error). There is a serious military option in this structure for short
term advantage that is not being considered and which is examined in the paper The Last Thirty Years: the Final
Struggle (No. 219).
The total effect
of the cap melt is at least a 66 metres (well over 200 feet) rise in sea levels
without superheating.
The melt of the
East Antarctic cap will reduce reflection and this has not been fully appreciated.
War has not been fed into the statistics. Some nations are particularly more
vulnerable than others to large-scale sea rise. North-West Europe is a classic
example.
More particularly
there is another matter of destabilisation of the crust and an increase in
earthquakes. The increase in earthquake activity has been relatively
significant in the last two years. There are more earthquakes in populated
areas than previously recorded. That is important.
Australian
Research
In another interview with Bill De La Mare of the Australian
Antarctic Research Division based in Hobart, it became clear that the changes
have been in stages. De La Mare has done a detailed study from whale kills
extracted from the records of world whaling over the extensive period of the
records from last century up until the 1970s. From the records of each whale
taken, Bill was able to plot the movement of the Antarctic shelf over that
period. The whales feed on krill and are found near the shelf. The records of
their positions in whaling provided a record of the changes in the shelf itself
over the period of the whaling. He told in the ABC radio interview of 4 September 1997 that the shelf had
regressed quite significantly over the period from the mid-1950s until the
1970s. It moved southwards towards the pole by some 300 kilometres (186 miles)
and the ice shelf lost was about an area of approximately two-thirds the size
of Australia. This reduction stabilised in the 1970s and he says satellite
technology has shown no significant changes
since the 1970s. The major activity of the period was above ground nuclear
testing. This may be coincidental or highly significant.
So, we see that, over the last few
decades, there has been a significant change in the Antarctic ice, which seems
to have stabilised for the period from the 1970s until the present, but recent
British reports indicate it is on the march again. The temperature has risen
2.5 degrees since the 1940s. In a British Antarctic Survey (BAS) report of
27 February 1995, Dr Mike Thomson said, after flying over the Larsen
Ice Shelf, that he had never seen anything like the dramatic and very recent
changes to the Larsen Ice Shelf in 25 years of Antarctic field work. The
observations came hard on the heels of the disintegration of the Wordie Ice
Shelf on the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Glaciologist David Vaughan
said:
There is no doubt that the climate on the
Antarctic peninsula has warmed significantly over the last few decades. What we
are seeing now are changes only just working through to glaciers and ice
sheets. It’s an exciting time for glaciologists (BAS, ibid.).
Since these
observations were made, the Larsen Ice Shelf was reported as being
disintegrated along with the Wordie.
This is the cause
of the depletion in the krill and the penguin populations. For the first time
in recorded history, in the summer of 1995, James Ross Island was
circumnavigable. The ice shelf in the Prince Gustav Channel disintegrated. A
huge iceberg has been calved from the Larsen Ice Shelf measuring 78 km x 37 km
(48 miles x 23 miles). This is about the size of Oxfordshire. The repeated
calving of the smaller bergs is under way as the New Zealand scientists are
reporting now.
The models do not
take into account the localised effect of temperature in the Antarctic and
clearly that is happening now at an increasing rate. The hole in the ozone
layer may be exacerbating this event.
What also has
occurred, is that they have now discovered their models were wrong, because
they assumed an even temperature increase. What they have found now is that the
temperature increase is much higher at the Poles than it is at the Equator. So
with a 2 degree temperature increase at the Equator, you are looking at up to a
12 degree temperature increase at the Poles. That has not been taken into
account either, but is now being put into the models.
The variations in
temperature in the Antarctic appear not to be simply a localised event. In an ABC TV news report on 12 September 1997,
we were informed that the new studies indicate that the rising temperatures are
going to be some 4 degrees at the equator, 6 degrees at the temperate zones and
12 degrees at the poles within the next 50 years.
Thus, the observed
changes are part of that disproportionate fluctuation. The poles will melt much
faster and increase global warming and ice cap melt much faster than expected.
By regressive
analysis we see the earth shown as being tilted on a different axis, some 9,000
years ago. It is now acknowledged that the earth’s axis rotates on a
22,000-year cycle.
The difference in
tilt of the axis with the south away from the sun saw the levels of
precipitation increase in Africa. There was thus a higher incidence of fresh
water lakes in Africa, Australia and elsewhere. This explains the Piri Reis map
of 1513 (compiled from ancient maps in the library at Alexandria before it was
burnt by Muslims in the seventh century) showing rivers and lakes in Africa
where now there are only depressions and desert (cf. Cyrus Gordon Before Columbus, Turnstone Press Ltd,
1972, pp. 71-73).
The incidence of
the warming effect on the oceans is also contributing to the El Nino effect of
the Eastern Pacific. In an interview on 5 September 1997 with Willem Bouma
of the Australian CSIRO Division of Atmospheric Physics, we discussed the El
Nino and global warming patterns recently and over time.
In
normal times, the currents along the Eastern Pacific take nutrient rich
upwelling in the cold currents and enable the colder water fish to breed.
The El Nino is a
warm current that prevents the upwelling of the cold currents and kills fish or
forces them northwards or elsewhere. The side effects are unstable weather and
droughts in the West Pacific and also in South Africa.
Bouma said that
the water in the El Nino, which is actually a large surface area of water in
the Central and East Pacific, which traditionally warms some 2 to 3 degrees
above the norm and introduces this unstable pattern is now 4 to 5 degrees
warmer than it was. It is now the hottest recorded in 150 years. The experts
say that it may be only because the records do not go back further than that.
Bouma said: The last pattern in
1991-1994 was similar to the pattern in 1911-1912. The one in 1982-1983 was
severe but the current pattern is more severe than that. The problem is that
the matter is so complex that it is difficult to produce a comprehensive model.
The El Nino has only recently been quantified.
There
has been a La Nina since then and higher rainfalls in the West Pacific, but
there has been increasing instability in bouts in the East Pacific and
elsewhere.
Bouma said the
atmospheric scientists now know that we have higher levels of methane and
carbon dioxide than ever before. He said there are going to be changes over the
next 30 years and people talk in terms of 30 cm (1 foot) and
1 degree but the fact is that we do not know what the exponential effect
of these changes is going to be. Moreover, the adaptation of societies will
cause problems of their own even if the changes are not seen as critical in
their particular area.
Bouma said that
core samples taken by the Russians in Antarctica have been dated back some
160,000 to 200,000 years. The core age is based on fluctuations in the winter
and summer snowfall rates. These are also accompanied by levels of volcanic
debris in the layers, which can be cross-matched with ocean bed core samples
and the rough time-frames established.
Bouma said that the ice cap has air bubbles trapped inside. From
that, the levels of carbon dioxide and methane and other gases can be measured.
Current increases are very different from the past. He said that there have
been rapid changes in the past, and the times when changes are taking place
produces the most instability and variation in patterns.
He was asked if
there had been catastrophic periods in the past.
Bouma said yes.
There had been two significant catastrophic periods dated at some 10,000 years
ago and another at some 150,000 years ago. These two dates have significance
for the human fossil record, as we will see.
Bouma
said that there had also been periods in recent history where local changes
were caused by catastrophes, which seemed quite disastrous for those involved.
He said that, for example, there were massive floods in Holland in 1513. The St
Elizabeth flood saw changes in the Rhine delta, which caused large populated
land areas of Holland go under water permanently. Whilst these were local, they
were catastrophic. He said that St Vincent’s Gulf in South Australia was also
sinking at present and any increase in water levels would exacerbate the
problems faced there.
Bouma also pointed
out that Sweden and Norway are still rising from the last ice age and that
Papua New Guinea has risen several hundred metres over a relatively short
period of time.
His greatest
concern was that we do not know how the climate will react in the long term as
our models are too inaccurate to predict the consequence and we should be very
concerned about contributing to any destabilising changes.
One of the
problems was that people could face “Acts of God” stoically but were concerned
about things they themselves induced. Thus, the instability introduced by
induced global warming was making people in low-lying areas more concerned.
His information
was most helpful and we are thus in a position to put together a number of
factors before we look at the prophetic picture.
We might deduce
from all this information that the oceans are warming faster than expected.
This may be helped by movements of the currents out of the normal patterns.
This is responsible for the destabilised patterns in Asia, Australasia and the
Americas.
The loss of the
ice sheets in recent decades could be due to the increases in carbon dioxide
and methane but it also may have been helped by simple atmospheric problems
such as above ground nuclear testing in the 1950s-1970s and volcanic activity.
We have no real
knowledge of the long-term effects of any significant atmospheric disturbance
by volcanic eruption.
Land use
There is also an
obvious and urgent requirement for the structuring of society based on sound
long-term planning, and relocation of the major industrial and population
resources away from the sea coast.
This involves restructuring and an opportunity, this time, to do it right and
in accordance with God’s laws as laid down in the Bible. Building nuclear power
stations under 100 metres (328 feet) above current sea level, if at all, is
simply madness.
The wars of the
end are going to give us a clean slate and a new start, whether we like it or not.
This is against the current trend to centralisation in city-states under the
New World Order.
Normal fluctuations
The next question
we must examine is:
Is it normal for fluctuations in the sea levels to occur? The answer is: Yes,
it is normal. From the records on the south coast of New South Wales from last
century, and from their maritime berthing systems, we can observe that the sea
level was higher last century than it is now. Perhaps it was affected by
unknowns, such as current changes and tidal movements. This might be affected
also by land rise or fall. It might have been as much as 1 metre (3 feet).
Ships used to come in where they cannot now enter. There is also evidence of a
number of tidal marks and evidence on the coast of Australia that shows we have
had higher and lower sea levels over the past ages. Some few thousand years
ago, the coastline was much further out than it now is. A long time ago, it was
much higher than it now is. Central Australia was once under water as the
fossil evidence discloses. There are sandstone shelves all along the east
coast.
How do these fluctuations occur? It appears that there have been
warmer and colder periods in the earth’s history. Last century may have been a
little warmer. Perhaps, we see the evidence in our coastal history in Australia. It is worthwhile noting
that big changes occur through the earth’s crust. The last earthquake in Turkey moved that country
towards Greece by a significant figure. We now see the Pacific Rim having
earthquakes in popular centres. That also adds to the rise and the fall of land
masses.
Movement of the
ice caps
Another
explanation is in the movement of the caps themselves. If the core of the earth
changes then we can have three things happen. At present the North Pole is totally
in water and the South Pole is totally on land. As sea ice has some 10% of its
volume out of the water and, on melting, loses that volume and returns to the
same sea level, we see no appreciable difference in the water level. However,
there are two caps, one on Greenland and the other on Antarctica, which are on
land. If they both melted, or even partially melted, the story would be vastly
different. This melted ice would add to the world’s sea volume and the levels
would rise. Thus, there are a number of alternatives for the world’s coastal
systems.
If the ice caps
are all on or over land systems, then the coastline of the other landmasses is
reduced by the volume of water in the ice caps over those land systems. The end
result is the reduction in the water volume and a drop in mean sea levels to
what they are known to have been some thousands of years ago. This is accepted
as fact by Australian scientists (see Lampert The Great Kartan Mystery, ANU, 1981, esp. pp. 166 ff.; cf. the
paper The Resurrection of the Dead (No.
143), pp. 4-5).
Heiner
Josenhans of the Geologic Survey of Canada holds that there was a migration
corridor from Asia to the Americas through the area near Queen Charlotte
Island. Josenhans holds that America, some 10,000 years ago (by his dating),
was a land of ice mountains 2,437 metres (8,000 feet) high and of both land and
sea that rose and fell rapidly. We might note that this equates with the period
of catastrophic change noted by Willem Bouma above.
Heiner Josenhans
says about 14,600 years ago the sea dropped to open a narrow seaside corridor
partly aided by the weight of the ice on the land. Scientists have found a
human skull on Prince of Wales Island, which they date at 9,800 years old. The
dating of these systems is subject to debate as to accuracy. The variations in
early dates are best illustrated in the tests done by Svante Paabo and Matthias
Krings and colleagues of the Zoological Institute at Munich where the original
Neanderthal man (found at Neander Valley near Dusseldorf in 1856) was tested
for DNA. They were able to extract the DNA. The DNA was compared with that of
humans and chimpanzees. The DNA strings of the Neanderthal had variations in 27
positions, as opposed to eight with humans. They were able to demonstrate that
the Neanderthals were not of the same family as with humans. The comments were
made that the Neanderthal probably died 30,000 years ago but it is possible
that the bones could be 100,000 years old (article New DNA testing puts Neanderthal man out of human’s family tree by
Chris Mihill, The Canberra Sunday Times,
13 July 1997, p. 7). These people now hold that man came from a common ancestor
out of Africa some 200,000 years ago. This dating is as subjective as we see in
the dating applied to the Neanderthals.
Note also that the
humanoids are varied and interspersed by the catastrophic periods identified
from conventional scientific dating.
We are agreed on the common ancestor element. Professor Stringer
holds that about 40,000 years ago it was likely that Neanderthals and Homo
Sapiens over-lapped (Mihill, ibid., cf. Cell
1997). However, we are speaking of Cro-magnons and not of the current humans,
Homo Sapiens Sapiens, and it is wrong to suggest they are the same species.
However, the
dating and conditions appear to preclude any short history along 6,000-year
lines for the earth systems and the Cro-magnons or Neanderthals. What we do see
is that there have been rapid shifts in poles and water levels. Land masses
have risen and fallen from ice weight and shifts. That makes the planet a lot
more unstable than we would like to imagine. The one true God made the earth
and He will bring about its end for His purpose.

God alone, who dwells between the cherubim, created the earth. He
brings forth the mountains and the seas. He alone established them and directs
their functions. He alone is the one true God.

God changes the
earth like a garment.
Shifts of the
Earth’s core
At some stage in
the recent past, we have had a shift in the core of the earth and a tilt in the
earth’s axis system. The finds in Siberia of the snap-frozen mammoths with
sub-tropical grasses still in their mouths indicate this was fairly recent. If
by some other chance the tilt placed both poles in the water then, and only one
ice cap on land, e.g. Greenland, or Europe, or North America (as seems to be
the case from Josenhans, AAP, St Paul
Pioneer Express, 4 July 1997, p. 7A), then there would be a rise in the
water. This rise would be according to the volume of water in ice on the
Antarctic cap. The other case is for it to be the Greenland cap. It may not be
a coincidence at all that the level of shift involved in the Josenhans model is
also 60 metres (200 feet) (ibid.). He blames it on the ice weight on the
coastal range of North America. It may simply be the effects of the North Pole
and the northern ice system on North America prior to its last change. These
ice ages were not gradual involving aeons, they may have happened over night as
in Siberia at the last pole shift.
Modern science resists such explanations and turn on their kind who
suggest these alternatives. The scholastic persecution of I Velikovsky for
his Worlds In Collision and Ages in Chaos is a classic example. The
real problem here is that it destroys the notion of steady-state evolutionary
theory and introduces the possibility of an interventionist model. Moreover,
the scientific or scholastic reputations of the university elite are often
model dependent. For example, Egyptologists are more or less dependent upon the
time dating of the ancient scribe Manetho for the chronology of the early
dynasties. Often their degrees are dependent upon conformity with accepted
models.
A recent attack was made on the scientist Louis Frank over his Cosmic Snowball theory because it
involves shifts in paradigms. It is, however, now admitted that Frank seems
right, and the earth is continually bombarded by cosmic snowballs of ice that
melt and add water to the earth’s atmosphere. It is estimated that there is
enough water to fill the oceans again, out in the solar system between us and
Jupiter (see article Robert S Boyd Cosmic
Snowballs, St Paul Pioneer Express,
29 May 1997).
There is, however, evidence that the caps were not always where they
are now and that view seems to come from unexpected sources and not just earth
scientists. We know that there was heavy trans-Atlantic commerce millennia ago,
and that it went on as late as the dispersal of the Jews after the Bar Kochba
revolt as we see from Professor Cyrus Gordon’s work Before Columbus, Turnstone Press Ltd, 1972. In that work, Gordon
has published the ancient Piri Reis map produced in 1513 from much more ancient
maps taken from the library at Alexandria, before the Muslims burnt the library
in the seventh century (see pp. 71-73). The coastline of Antarctica is also
included and we have not been able to do this until this century because of the
ice cap. Thus, it was either warmer then or the cap was centred elsewhere.
Moreover, they had the capacity then to measure longitude and the coasts of America
and Africa are shown in their correct longitudinal relationship (ibid.). We
could not do this until the seventeenth century.
I discussed with other scholars about the ogham
scripts, which were the writing systems of the Celts, their incidence and implications
for the Anglo-Saxon and Celtic people. Some of the information that became
available was that through these trans-Atlantic movements, which have continued
on uninterrupted, one of the American Indian tribes is actually descended from
the Welsh. They laid out their villages in a similar manner. They had sailed up
the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, landed and established a colony in
America. We know of their movements from contemporaneous records in Wales.
Nothing is said of them because it does not suit the purposes of the European
church. They have suppressed the truth for 1,600 years. We were entered into a
dark-age through religious ambition.
In the same way these ogham scripts are
found right through the area of the Indian tribes on the east coast through
West Virginia. Some of them are now under water, but they are all there. The
Indians are curiously writing in Celtic script, which is perhaps more ancient,
because it does not possess a couple of aspects of the later Celtic script. It
shows you that there was massive movement by the Celts and the Jews and other
people, into the Americas, over the periods of climatic change. It is not a
steady state isolated system, as these so-called authorities would have us
believe. There is an inability to analyse world history correctly or
cohesively.
What is the
effect of the loss of the Antarctic cap?
On modern estimates, there is enough ice in the West Antarctic basin
alone to raise the sea level 5 to 6 metres (16 to 19 feet). This basin is ice
on land and some is below sea level but that makes an overall net rise of 5
metres (16 feet). The remainder of the ice will rise a further 60 metres (200
feet) and the effect of both caps is over 66 metres (216 feet) (as per John
Heap and Jim Titus above). What the factor of net heat gain will be can only be
estimated. This could raise the sea level by a further 30 metres (100 feet) or
so. Thus, we are looking at anything up to perhaps 100 metres (328 feet) rise
in mean sea level.
The caps reflect a
large amount of the sun’s heat. With the caps gone, the land will not reflect
the same amount of heat and it will be retained in the earth’s atmosphere.
Thus, it will get very hot.
The rise in mean temperature will see the weather patterns become
more and more unstable.
Effect of the
rising sea levels on the world’s land mass and eco-system
With the partial
loss of the Antarctic cap, we will see a 5 metre (16 feet) rise. This will make
the low-lying islands disappear, and some regions, such as Holland and the
delta areas, will become virtually uninhabitable. They will have to relocate.
All low-lying world land areas will inundate. The river systems will back up
and they will be tidal far inland. The water collection capacity will be
seriously diminished. Drinking water will become restricted. The increase in
the heat will make the contaminated areas turn red with algae. The altered
algal systems will kill the fish breeding areas and the fish stocks will start
to die.
This effect will
be gradual at first and then accelerate exponentially as the caps melt. This
will destabilise the weight of the land systems and increase the stress on the
plate systems governing the landmasses. Antarctica has already commenced to
rise as the weight reduces. The result will be more earthquake activity.
Over
the last two years, since this paper was written, we have seen increased
earthquake activity in the populated areas. This inundation of the low lying
countries will then help fulfil another biblical prophecy, which we have covered
in the paper Calling the Peoples to Jerusalem
(No. 238). Then the tribe of Zebulun will be able to take up its
inheritance and commence the calling of the peoples to Jerusalem. That will be
the start of the move back of the tribes.
[Scientific
Findings Regarding Solar Activity on Climate Change
Since the production of the paper in 1997, a lot of attention has
been given to the issue of Global Warming and there is a large body of
scientific opinion that has proven almost beyond doubt that Climate Change is
solar induced and that it follows regular cycles. These cycles are called by
various names. The major cycles are the Warm period cycles that occur every
thousand years approximately. The increase earth temperatures by approximately
2 to 2.5 degrees and the commensurate cycles bring in the Cold Periods. The
last major one was the Bond cycle that brought in the Dark Ages and dropped the
coastlines of the world over seven feet. There is another cycle called the de
Vries cycle that occurs every 210 years
approximately.
Most reputable scientists are aware of these fluctuations
and, given the recent findings, the competent ones should be well aware of it.
Some scientists are arguing that we are overdue for a Bond cycle
event and that the Global Warming seen in the twentieth century will be offset
by the de Vries cycle, and perhaps even a Bond cycle
event, with a temperature drop of 2.5 degrees.
The media simply does not print these inconvenient truths
as the moguls that own the media are committed to the introduction of an
oppressive regime designed to destroy what is left of the independence of
nations for this coming New World Order. The media simply lies by omission.
They lie and they know they lie. In Australia, the Rudd Labor
government is introducing an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) based on an
entirely false premise which will have the effect of destroying what is left of
the physical economy of Australia. The problem is that the opposition is not
exposing the fraud. The US is being castrated over
similar misrepresentation. The UK is already a financial basket case. Its leaders and
bankers are behind the collapse; they have simply postponed its funeral.
At Monash University on Sunday 24 May 2009, a public symposium was
convened by former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Monash University, Emeritus Professor
Lance Endersbee. Hard evidence was presented by
several important scientists to prove
that the incidences of global warming and cooling were solar induced and not the
result of human activity on CO2 emissions at all.
One of the scientists,
David Archibald, who is an expert in solar cycles, is reported as identifying
the problem we face. He said: “You haven’t seen any sign of the end of Solar
Cycle 23 yet and the cooling over Solar Cycle 24 as a consequence may be as
much as 2.8 degrees centigrade. We are due for a de Vries cycle cooling event
every two hundred and ten years, and actually even a Bond event
because the last one of those was in the Dark Ages. And severe cooling over the
next twenty years is now a certainty.”
Thus his position is based on the view that because the
Solar Cycle 23 is seen as not having ended, then Solar Cycle 24 is claimed to
herald the de Vries cooling and perhaps a Bond cycle,
which ushered in the Dark Ages.
The fact is, however, that the Warming period of the millennial
systems will offset the de Vries cycle and postpone
any Bond event. The end of the Medieval Warm Period was not as severe as the
end of the Roman Warm Period which was the Millennial Cycle before it and which
was ended by the cold of the Bond cycle which ushered in the Dark Ages. The de Vries cycle simply limits the rise in temperature and,
hence, depending upon where it occurs in the onset, limits the speed of the
onset of the Warm periods. The de Vries cycle will
not stop the onset of the next Millennial Warm Period although it is considered
that it might limit it over the next twenty years.
These cycles are known facts. Yet they are ignored by the
politicians, on both sides of the houses of parliament, and by the media under
direction.
The fact is that Carbon emissions are not significant factors in the
fluctuations of Climate Change.
William Kininmonth, a former head of the Bureau of Meteorology’s
National Climate Centre pointed out to the symposium that even if
atmospheric carbon dioxide were to hypothetically double this would only
provide 0.6 degrees centigrade of a warming effect. Such a figure is of small
value when compared to the several degrees of historical natural climate
change. Given the claims of the de Vries cooling, such a change would be offset. If a Bond
cycle were to present itself we could not avoid the catastrophe that was the
Dark Ages. The next Bond cycle is not due for some five hundred years.
Professor Robert Carter
attacked the Australian Government’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) proposal.
He stated that it would cost average Australian families $3000 per year. For
that cost and its attendant economic impact the result would be an
insignificant temperature reduction of one ten-thousandth of one degree! It
would not be effectively measurable. Professor Carter said, “Not one newspaper
in this country will publish those figures. Why not? Because the taxpayers, the
second they knew that this was the cost benefit equation, they would completely
reject this nonsense.”
These important Australian Scientists were calling it for what it
is, a scientific fraud.
Let us examine both cycles.
The de Vries
Cycle
The article by Keith Sherwood and Idso
Craig drew attention to the proven scientific details of the De Vries Cycle. The article is at http://www.co2science.org/articles/V11/N23/EDIT.php.
It is reproduced at the end of this paper in the public interest for
translation into multiple languages, as it is an important document.
You will note the article identifies by graph the end of the
Medieval Warm Period and the cold period known as the Little Ice Age. This was
the Millennial cooling period which is in effect another Bond cycle but not to
the same extent as that in the Dark Ages. The Little Ice Age ended the Scandinavian
farming era in Greenland. We have now found evidence that the Norse Celts that
settled Greenland under Eric the Red in 996 CE, at the advent of the Little Ice
Age, were absorbed into and became the European admixture of the Greenland
Eskimos. The writer actually has a three-step mutation from his R1b YDNA (at 12
DYS) in the families of the European admixture in Greenland.

It
is obvious from the title of the article that the cycle is asserted to be 1500
years in each cycle but the evidence does not support the 1500-year
proposition. The Bond cycle in the Dark Ages and the Little Ice Age at the end
of the Medieval Warm period were two aspects of the same phenomenon.
The
Little Ice Age began with the reduction of solar activity that commenced in the
build up of the cycle at 1400 CE (Wolf). From this time the Greenland farmers
began to experience more severe cold. The solar activity decreased and the cold continued
increasing in severity until it reached its peak between 1740 and 1780. During
this period the River Thames in London was in some years frozen over in winter
and fairs were held on the ice.
We
began to emerge from this cycle with the increase in solar activity from 1850,
and the increase has continued increasing until the present day. The solar
activity now is greater than it was at the start of the Medieval Warm period.
The
work on the 1500 year cycles admits that the Romans grew grapes in Britain from
the first to the fourth centuries on a large scale and that a thousand years
later in the Medieval Warm Period the British people again grew grapes in
Southern England, and the vineyards are recorded in the Doomsday Book. The cold
period onset was at the end of the Roman Warm Period, as we have undisputed
evidence that the marble floors of the Roman villas began to be charred by
fires in braziers that became necessary from the end of the fourth century.
It can be thus
argued that the onset of the so-called Dark Ages was from the end of the fifth
century onwards. The onset of the cooling thus began a thousand years apart in
the Fifth and Fifteenth centuries and the warming period began in the
second/first century BCE, the ninth/tenth century CE and the nineteenth
century, That is an approximate thousand year cycle, not a fifteen hundred year
cycle.
The
conflict comes from the assumptions regarding the measurement of the cycles in
the Ice sheets. The increased moisture release/rainfall creates more
intermittent snow sheets during the fluctuating periods. The assumptions are
wrong. The historical and archaeological evidence proves them wrong.
The
Dark Ages is an imprecise term avoided by Modern Scholars for good reason but
most are agreed that the end of Classical Roman Antiquity saw its beginnings.
The withdrawal from Britain in the fifth century coincided with this cultural
demise, and with the onset of the periods of intense cold in the North, which
lasted for some four hundred years and ended with the Medieval Warm Period in the
tenth century BCE.
We
are thus due for another warm period which we shall term the Millennial Warm
Period. This period may be somewhat mitigated by the de Vries
cycle when it rises, but it will not stop it. There will be no Bond cycle for
another four or five hundred years.
No
matter what is the case the idea that humans caused the climate changes is an
absurd suggestion.
There will be many
factors that will increase the effects on Climate Change this time and some
will be man-made causes. Tectonic plate instability induced by weapons will be
a major factor. In other words, we will see more man-made earthquakes very
soon. (ed. 6)]
Effects of
increased earthquake activity
In the paper The Food Laws (No. 15) we
saw how the heavy metal concentrations were in specific areas around the world.
Those areas coincide with the fault systems in which earthquake activity
occurs. When the earthquake activity commences, the release of heavy metals
will increase algal bloom and the seas will become red with the red tide
effect. The effect of the heavy metal concentrations in the algae is to
increase the levels of toxicity in fish. In the partially developed biblical
catastrophe described in the seven trumpets of Revelation, we see that a third
of the fish in the seas die. This follows the increased earthquake activity
following on from the final persecution of the last days under the fifth seal
(see the papers The Seven Seals (No. 140)
and The Seven Trumpets (No. 141)).
Revelation 6:9-17 And when he had opened the
fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the
word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they
cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not
judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And
white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that
they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants
also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be
fulfilled. 12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and,
lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of
hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell
unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her
untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the
heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and
island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the
earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the
mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens
and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and
rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth
on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day
of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (KJV)
The hurting of the
earth takes place after the persecution of the fifth seal – thus, the earth is
not hurt until the activities of Revelation 7 take place; namely the sealing of
the 144,000 and the selection of the great multitude. Until that time, the
earth is not to be hurt.
Revelation 7:13-17 And one of the elders answered, saying unto
me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said
to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed
their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his
temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell
among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any
heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed
them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes. (KJV)
Thus, we see that
the tribulation of the fifth seal is followed by this turbulent activity. The
coming of the Messiah is understood as inevitable at this time. Thus, the
increased earthquake activity and the heavenly signs not only herald the
arrival of Messiah and the redemption of the elect, but they set off the chain
reaction that is about to occur in the activity regarding the world’s nations
and particularly the coast-lands. This activity is described in Revelation 8ff.
Thus, the earthquakes themselves, in addition to the pollution,
release heavy metals into the world’s oceans and increase the activities which
result in the death of a third of the fish stocks mentioned in Revelation
8:1-5.
Revelation 8:1-5 And when he had opened the
seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2
And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven
trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a
golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer
it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the
throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers
of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 And
the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it
into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings,
and lightnings, and an earthquake. (KJV)
We see from this
text that the persecution of the saints and their prayers bring the
intervention of God. He sends Messiah at the advent. The fire of the altar is
cast upon the earth and this activity causes the thunders and lightning and an
earthquake. This is the active phase of what we might call the global warming activities
and the wrath of God.
The first series
of trumpets are sounded and fire and hail is brought down on the earth and then
the third part of the earth is burnt up, including the trees and all green
grass. In other words, it becomes arid and the heat dries the grasslands and
they are burnt.
Revelation 8:6-7 And the seven angels which had the seven
trumpets prepared themselves to sound. 7 The first angel sounded,
and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon
the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was
burnt up. (KJV)
The earthquake
activity causes explosions and a major landslip of catastrophic proportions.
Revelation 8:8-9 And the second angel sounded, and as it were
a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of
the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which
were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were
destroyed. (KJV)
This activity sees
a third of the ships destroyed also and so we are looking at not just heavy
metals and algal blooms – we are looking also at attendant tsunamis.
Tsunamis
Scientists have
long known that a massive tsunami struck the east coast of Australia some
100,000 years ago in geological terms according to today’s models. They did not
know what caused it. A few years ago they determined that it was actually
caused by a landslip in Hawaii 105,000 years ago. There will be other more
massive slips than this in the period of the second trumpet. Scientists
estimate that the San Andreas Fault has to go within the next ten years. This
does not take into account the increasing effects, described above, on fault
movement. The San Andreas Fault system has the capacity to create a tsunami
that may devastate the east coast of Australia.
Tsunamis travel at
just below the speed of sound and may be a wall of water some hundreds of feet
high. The wave referred to above was between 90 metres (300 feet) and 300
metres (1,000 feet) high travelling just under some 1,126 kilometres per hour
(700 miles per hour). The destructive capacity of such a wave is enormous. Each
landslip and earthquake will set off its own tsunami activity. Thus, one-third
of the world’s shipping will be destroyed.
This heating up and
increased volcanic activity of the earth will then cause the destruction of the
earth’s water systems and the back up and pollution of its fish breeding
grounds.
This shortage will
be increased by the incidence of a comet sent by God to deal with the earth’s
wilful disregard for His laws.
Revelation 8:10-11 And the third angel
sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp,
and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of
waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the
third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters,
because they were made bitter. (KJV)
This increased
activity affects the atmosphere. A greenhouse effect is seen so great that the
sun is darkened at dawn and dusk so that the days are shortened.
Revelation 8:12-13 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third
part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part
of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not
for a third part of it, and the night likewise. 13 And I beheld, and
heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice,
Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by
reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to
sound! (KJV)
Krakatoa erupted
last century with the force of many nuclear weapons, and the sky was
discoloured around the world for many months.
[This
activity plunges the earth into such chaos that what is termed a window of
opportunity emerges for the nations poised to destroy our people. These nations
are termed Gog and Magog. Who they are has been dealt
with in the paper War of Hamon-Gog
(No. 294) and the papers on the Genetic Origin of the Nations
(No. 265) and the series on the Sons of Japheth Parts I-VIII espec. (No. 46C). More will be written on them and
their identification later. These nations participate in what becomes World War
III because of the chaos in which the world finds itself. This chaos and
warfare open up the opportunity for a number of nations to attack the current
European power block. These wars are the wars of the fifth and sixth trumpets
of Revelation 9:1-21. (ed. 6)]
Revelation 9:1-21 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star
fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless
pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out
of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were
darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of
the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the
scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that
they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither
any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that
they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a
scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in
those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to
die, and death shall flee from them. 7 And the shapes of the locusts
were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were
crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And
they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and
the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to
battle. 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were
stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11
And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose
name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the
Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. 12 One
woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. 13 And
the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden
altar which is before God, 14 Saying to the sixth angel which had
the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour,
and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16
And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. 17 And
thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having
breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the
horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and
smoke and brimstone. 18 By these three was the third part of men
killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out
of their mouths. 19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their
tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them
they do hurt. 20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by
these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should
not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of
wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented
they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of
their thefts. (KJV)
This text shows that a war is involved and that the key to all of
this activity and the cessation of this activity is repentance before God.
Repentance involves doing God’s will and obeying His laws.
This is also
contained in the message of Christ in the Olivet Prophecy. The Olivet Prophecy
itself builds on Isaiah and the other prophets.
Isaiah 24:19-20 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth
is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth
shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and
the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not
rise again. (KJV)
Isaiah 51:6
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for
the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a
garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation
shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be
abolished. (KJV)
The existing
heavens will pass away eventually but, while they remain, the law remains with
them. That is the key to understanding what God requires of human behaviour.
Matthew 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be
fulfilled. (KJV)
Thus Messiah is
speaking of the end, as it was to be explained further in Revelation.
Matthew 24:3 And
as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately,
saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (KJV)
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world
for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (KJV)
The final
preaching of the gospel occurs first. It is followed by the tribulation, which
is the beginning of the end, and then the end comes. These are the fifth and
sixth seals we have seen above. Following the heavenly signs, the earth is
struck.
Matthew 24:29-39 Immediately after the tribulation of those
days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the
stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then
shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man
coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he
shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather
together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even
at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not
pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall
pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and
hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven,
but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe
were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in
the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and
giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered
into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them
all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (KJV)
Compare these verses also with Mark 13:24-37 and Luke 21:26-36.
The tribulation of
the elect happens before the coming of the Messiah and then the heavenly signs
proclaim his coming. The first resurrection then occurs. There is no rapture.
There is no easy way out. There is no avoiding the law. Christ will come as
conquering king to establish his Father’s law on this planet. The most amazed
and confused people will be those who claim to be his disciples yet do not keep
the commandments of God and the testimony of Messiah. They will do it the hard
way because they did not follow his teachings. That is why God is going to deal
with the planet and do it thoroughly. Unless Messiah comes back, there will be
no flesh left alive. All of this destruction will be our own doing.
Matthew 24:19-28 And woe unto them that are with child, and to
them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight
be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning
of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except
those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the
elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall
say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For
there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were
possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told
you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is
in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it
not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the
Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles
be gathered together. (KJV)
Let
us go back and examine this phase of the trumpets and determine how fast it is
likely to be.
Since
this paper was given in 1997 there has been a significant movement in
Protestant Christianity allied with Catholic prophecy. Trinitatians as a whole
are now producing prophecy, or interpretation of prophecy, which holds that the
anti-Christ will establish the law of God on this planet (the law of Moses) and
that Judah will be aligned and allied with that Messiah and that they will
build a temple at Jerusalem. That is really the anti-Christ and the real Christ
will return after that happens. So you get all the biblical prophecies of the
conversion of Judah, the establishment of the Messiah at Jerusalem, the
restoration of the law and the reconstruction of the Temple. All of that is
occurring, but the Trinitarians are now saying that is to be the anti-Christ
and the false system and after that the true Christ will come. In that they set
up the conditions of these last days to march against Jesus Christ at
Jerusalem. The nations that have now set up this conditional prophecy are
actually the so-called Trinitarian Christian nations themselves. They will be
involved in the march against Jesus Christ.
The speed of
the global warming phase
After the final
preaching of the gospel, the tribulation or persecution will take place. This
is in fact over a protracted period involving two persecutions. One period is
1,260 years; the other is a short period at the end. The 1,260- year period
began in 590 CE and ended in 1850 with the end of the Holy Roman Empire. The
last Inquisition was from 1823-1846 (see the ex-Jesuit historian Malachi Martin
The Decline and Fall of the Roman Church,
Secker and Warburg, London, pp. 254 ff). The final persecution has already
begun.
The last persecution is shorter but more intense. The destruction of
sound doctrine will be almost complete. However, when Messiah comes there will
be no doubt and he will be visible to all. Messiah will then deal with the
earth’s religions and the lawlessness that passes for Christianity. Messiah
said that this generation will not pass away before all things are
accomplished. A generation is 40 years. Thus, the period involved is less than
40 years.
The warming phase
has already begun. The earth cannot be hurt until the last few of the 144,000
are sealed. This process was ongoing over 2,000 years. The time-frame of the
Messianic age is from the birth of Messiah in 5 BCE for forty Jubilees to
the end of the times of the Gentiles. This period ended in the sacred year
1996/97. That was the 2,000th anniversary of the birth of Messiah and the
3,000th anniversary of David’s entry into Jerusalem. It was also seven times or
2,520 years from the invasion of Egypt by Cambyses. This was tied to the
earlier period of the establishment of the Babylonian model we saw from the
Battle of Carchemish in 605 BCE. The wars of the end began in 1914 with the
2,520 years or seven times from 605 BCE. The major battles commenced on a
worldwide basis from 1916 (see the paper The Fall of Egypt (No. 36):
the Prophecy of Pharaoh’s Broken Arms). This system of empires (Dan. 2) was
to last seven times and that is 2,520 years (7 x 360 -- 360 is a prophetic time
of 12 x 30 prophetic days or years). The period of the prophecy covers two arms
of forty years, or eighty years in total from 1916-1996/7. The key date is thus
1997 for the beginning of the period of thirty years of the troubles of the
last days. At the end time there was to be another period of thirty years from
this end of the times of the Gentiles to the restoration under Messiah. This
entire process is mirrored in the times of Moses and the wars for the
occupation of Israel (see the paper The Fall of Jericho (No. 142)).
All of these
problems will be experienced between 1997 and 2027. A possible time-frame for
the wars of the end and the progressive phases are examined in the papers The Last Thirty Years: the Final
Struggle (No. 219) and Outline Timetable of the Age (No.
272).
As the warming period commences, we will
see pressure on the coastal systems. The Bible shows that this problem is not
gradual.
Yahovah is sent by
Yahovah of Hosts, his God, to protect Jerusalem in the end time period.
Zechariah 2:1-9 I lifted up mine eyes again,
and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2
Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me,
To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the
length thereof. 3 And, behold, the angel that talked with me went
forth, and another angel went out to meet him, 4 And said unto him,
Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns
without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: 5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round
about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. 6 Ho, ho, come
forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the
LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. 7 Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. 8 For
thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he
sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth
you toucheth the apple of his eye. 9 For,
behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their
servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me. (KJV)
The direction of
the trouble is from the land of the north involving the daughter of Babylon. Thus, we are seeing the trouble emanate from
a religious system and a political system combined. This is not Iraq.
We know in this
sequence that the islands are moved by quake activity and by rising water.
Revelation 6:14 And the heaven
departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island
were moved out of their places. (KJV)
This is violent
and sudden activity.
Revelation 16:17-21 And the seventh angel poured out his vial
into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from
the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices, and
thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great
earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an
earthquake, and so great. 19 And the great city was divided into
three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in
remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness
of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were
not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven,
every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the
plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. (KJV)
This activity is,
as we see from this text, at the end of the vials of the wrath of God. The
islands flee away and the mountains are moved. There is a great earthquake such
as has not been seen in the history of the world. Thus, the two great quakes
are at the early and later parts of the process. The text in Revelation 16:1-16
shows that the period of the vials is used to increase the activities of the
planet that involves the waters turning to blood.
The fourth vial is
one of great heat. The warming thus increases at an exponential rate. The
process is described in Revelation 16:1-9.
Revelation 16:1-9 And I heard a great voice out of the temple
saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath
of God upon the earth. 2 And the first went, and poured out his vial
upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which
had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. 3
And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the
blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. 4 And
the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters;
and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters say,
Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou
hast judged thus. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and
prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 7
And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and
righteous are thy judgments. 8 And the fourth angel poured out his
vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God,
which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

The earth is
punished because it does not keep the laws of God. God directs Messiah to come
and deal with the planet. He specifically tasks these seven angels with bowls
of His wrath, which is to be poured out on the earth. Modern science will
explain this process away in scientific terms and the world will not repent.
The texts, here, show that repentance is what is required of the people and they
will not obey. Even when the planet is being destroyed before their very eyes,
because of their disobedience, they will not repent and turn to God.
They blaspheme God instead of repenting. This system set up on this
planet is part of demonic rebellion against the Most High God Eloah, who is
Yahovah of Hosts. They will not change their ways. Most of the people on the
planet are led astray by these people and the demons.

Revelation 16:10-16 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon
the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed
their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because
of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. 12
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the
water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth
of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the
false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working
miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to
gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth,
and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and
they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place
called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. (KJV)
Thus, the world is
deceived into marching against Messiah at Jerusalem when he comes. These beings
blaspheme God and His Messiah and they are brought down to Armageddon through
their own evil. This process is obviously very short. It is not millennia or
even centuries. It is a matter of years. How many years can be reconstructed
from a model of the prophecies of the last days and a knowledge of the plan of
God as revealed in His word. The long-term plan is concerned with the sequence
set up in the Sign of Jonah.
Christ said that
there is no sign given his ministry but the Sign of Jonah.
Matthew 12:38-42 Then certain of the scribes and of the
Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39
But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to
it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three
days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three
days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of
Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it:
because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than
Jonas is here. 42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the
judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the
uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a
greater than Solomon is here. (KJV)
The
Sign of Jonah is not simply three days and three nights in the belly of the
whale or the tomb. The symbolism involved the resurrection, and all that event
symbolised. It also involved the ministry of John the Baptist and Messiah as
two witnesses against Judah. They preached for slightly less than three years
and then Judah was given forty years to repent and did not repent. This was on
a year for a day basis compared with Nineveh. Forty years to the month from the
death of Messiah, Jerusalem was surrounded by armies. That was on 1 Nisan
at the beginning of the sacred year 70 CE. By 1 Nisan the following
year 71 CE, Judah was destroyed, Jerusalem was sacked and the Temple was razed
so that not one stone stood upon another.
The next phase of
the Sign of Jonah was extended to the Gentiles. The gospel of the Kingdom of
God was preached to the whole world on a Jubilee for a year basis. Thus, the
world was given forty Jubilees or 2,000 years to repent and it will not repent
(see the paper The Sign of Jonah and the History
of the Reconstruction of the Temple (No. 13)). These forty Jubilees was also symbolised by the forty years in
the wilderness of the Exodus under Moses. The events in the last days are
similar to the events at the end of the Exodus.
In a little while, the plagues of the wrath of God will be commenced
through His servants the prophets and the world will hate these men and kill
them. They will warn the world of the penalty of their evil ways. The world will
be given the opportunity to repent and to keep God’s laws but they will not
repent.
As Moses dealt with Egypt through its gods, so will they deal with
the gods of this world with plagues and no rain and famine and fire and thirst.
However, man will not repent. The timing of this sequence is examined in the
paper The Last Thirty Years: the Final
Struggle (No. 219). There is no secret that God does not reveal through
His servants beforehand. The elect are the stewards of the mysteries of God.
God does not work without revealing His will and His plan through His servants.
Romans 1:16-20
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the
Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the
righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just
shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is
manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (KJV)
In the days of the seventh trumpet, the mystery of God will be
completed as He revealed it through His servants the prophets. Thus God will
reveal the mystery before the events of the seven vials of the wrath of God.
All men will know and be without excuse.
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh
angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as
he hath declared to his servants the prophets. (KJV)
Amos 3:7-8
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth
his secret unto his servants the prophets. 8 The lion hath roared,
who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy? (KJV)
God wants us all
to survive. There is no reason why any of this process need happen. It will
happen only through the intransigence of the world. God is slow to destroy the
sinful and is long-suffering towards us.
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance. (KJV)
The end of this
process will see a world subjugated by force if not by consent. The planet will
be nearly destroyed.
Moses and Aaron
were sent to Egypt. Messiah and John the Baptist were sent to Judah. The
apostles were sent to the world two by two, and the two witnesses will be sent
to the world to condemn it in the last days.
Revelation 11:1-3 And there was given me a
reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple
of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the
court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is
given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty
and two months. 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and
they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth. (KJV)
The final phase
will see an exponential progression of the destruction of the planet and the
obstinate refusal to obey the laws of God. The actions of God through Moses and
Aaron are similar to the action in the last days.
Psalm 105:26-37 He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he
had chosen. 27 They shewed his signs among
them, and wonders in the land of Ham. 28 He sent darkness, and made
it dark; and they rebelled not against his word. 29 He turned their
waters into blood, and slew their fish. 30 Their land brought forth
frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings. 31 He spake, and
there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts. 32 He
gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. 33 He smote
their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts. 34
He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers,
and that without number, 35 And did eat up all the herbs in their
land, and devoured the fruit of their ground. 36 He smote also all
the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength. 37 He brought
them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among
their tribes. (KJV)
Not so long ago
there was a hailstorm in Sydney where the size of the stones was such as never
had been seen before in our lifetime. Billions and billions of dollars of
damage was caused. There was massive destruction to houses through hailstones
bigger than anything ever seen before in the city of Sydney. One cannot help
but speculate that this is the start of a long process against the inequity
that we are seeing in our people.
God has already
declared what He will bring about. He has also declared what is necessary for
Messiah and the Host to do to restore the planet. In the early stages, we will
lose the coastlands in inundation and destruction from tsunamis. As it
accelerates, we will lose vast areas of the deltas and Egypt. Since this paper was first written there were massive
tsunamis, which killed many thousands of people in New Guinea. It struck them in the night. We will lose the
low-lying food basins such as the coastal plains in Australia. In North
America, the Mississippi basin and Florida will be lost and much of the
Canadian north and its water with it. The earth will lose the low Chinese plain
and the Thai plain. North-West Europe and the UK will be inundated. We will
lose Holland, Denmark, Belgium and North West France. The Amazon basin,
Bangladesh and large areas of Siberia will be lost. Wars will be fought for
land and food production capacity and, most importantly, water. The loss of land
is limited only by the upper extent of the water levels. 60 metres (200 feet)
is the potential without superheating. It may be higher. The relocation of
people on a vast scale is an imminent probability and must be planned for now.
We must plan and then decentralise and relocate to higher ground. We must build
dams in place to ensure safe drinking water and cover them. But most important
of all is the fact that we as a people must repent immediately.
The sequence of the process of earthquakes
and tsunamis is of increasing importance. The escalation of the incidence and
impact of these associated events has reached a new peak. In 2004 in the last
week of December two earthquakes were experienced that were very high on the
Richter scale, and roughly of the same magnitude. The first was near Macquarie
Island in the northern Antarctic area, due south of the Tasman Sea. A few days
later the second occurred off the island of Sumatra, near Aceh province. The
second one caused massive damage and probably well over 200,000 deaths. The
actual figure will never be known until the return of Messiah. Whole
communities were simply wiped out by the tsunamis that followed. The reason the
first one did little damage was that it was a horizontal quake rather than
a vertical one. There were thus no great tsunamis generated. Australia was
spared, although they had approximately a thousand people missing overseas
in the second quake.
There will be many more to come as the
plates move again. Much movement will also be caused by the decreases in
cap weights as the melt continues. The pacific-rim plates will generate more
quake activity and there will be more tsunamis. Australia and
the North American continent will suffer seriously as will the North
Pacific western rim. The islands and the Americas will not
escape. They must plan and relocate now but above all we must repent.
Our scientists are
telling us it is happening and anyone with eyes and a brain can see it is
happening. Europe is at last aware of having caused much of the problem
themselves. Remember the instruction is to destroy those who destroy the earth
(Rev. 11:18).
All of this misery
is brought upon the world because they do not know the way of peace.

December 2005 Update
The Arctic is now speeding up its loss of
sea ice at an exponential rate. In a recent report professor Louis Fortier
disclosed that the speed with which the Arctic ice was melting was accelerating
exponentially.
According to Reuter’s reporter David
Fogarty quoting Louis Fortier on Monday 5 December 2005.
“Summertime sea-ice cover and thickness are
shrinking each year and 2005 marked a turning point, professor Louis Fortier
said. ‘Since 1978, we could see a linear decline in sea-ice cover. It has now
reduced by about 24 percent in extent and about up to 50 percent in thickness,’
Fortier, who is also director of a number of Arctic research programs, said:
‘Up until 2004, we thought the decline was linear but since 2004 there had been
an indication it has begun to accelerate and 2005 was the all-time record
minimum. It's astounding,’ he said in Montreal, where the ship was docked a
short distance from where representatives from 189 nations are trying to agree
on ways to curb global warming.
This year the summertime sea-ice coverage
totalled 2.12 million square miles and thickness was down from an average 12.5
feet in the 1970s to about 5.25 feet this year.
He said computer models five years ago
predicted the Arctic would be ice-free during summer by 2070, then 2050 and now
some studies suggested 2015 to 2017.
‘This means you can have intercontinental
shipping but also no ice for walruses or polar bears. It's going to be a
seasonally ice-free ocean just like the Baltic Sea.’”
When we published this paper in 1997 there
were virtually no effective models for Artic sea ice melt. It is a blessing
that the Arctic sea ice has no real effect on sea levels due to the fact that
ice in water displaces its own volume of water with the trapped air lost
resulting in a virtual nil increase in water levels. The time frame of the melt
has dropped from predictions of ice-free summers by 2070 five years ago to
predictions of ice free by 2015 to 2017. The exponential increases will see
that shortened yet again very soon.
The real gains in sea levels will be from the
Greenland cap, which is also accelerating in its ice loss exponentially. The
Antarctic is also losing ice at an exponential rate. Soon we will see much
larger moves in sea levels. A metre rise will see the loss of Bangladesh and
the displacement of 80 million people. A further 12-inch or 30 centimetre rise
will see large numbers begin to be displaced. The Kiribati Island groups will
begin to be lost very early in the piece.
The days of pretence are long gone.

We
are an holy people. God set us apart to do His will
and to be an example to the Nations. At present, we are worse than the Nations
and we will be destroyed if we do not repent. Our holocaust will be worse than
Judah’s was. Judah also will be brought to repentance by power of the Holy Spirit.
Repentance is not just a matter of words but involves action. It requires the
entire reorganisation of our worship, our calendar, and our socio-economic
system in accordance with the Bible and the laws of God; all of them.
Further study has
now been done on the calendar system of the United States of America. Its civil
calendar is based entirely on the days of human sacrifice in the pagan system.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity or Christ, or even a civil
system. It is directly a pagan system of worship, based on the days of human
sacrifice. Even some of the historical events have been moved from the dates of
their actual occurrence to coincide with a specific day of human sacrifice,
under this sequence of the system of paganism.

August 2006 Update
We might now reflect on the facts and
fiction of Global Warming. To put the aspect of Global Warming into perspective
it is important to take into consideration two climatic fluctuations called the
Medieval Warm Period (MWP) and the Little Ice Age (LIA). The period called the
Little Ice Age was in general one degree colder in mean sea temperatures than
they are at present, and the Medieval Warm Period was one degree warmer than
they are at present but we are fast approaching that situation. Thus it can be
argued that we are in the process of a gradual increase in temperatures within
what are normal climatic fluctuations observed over the last two millennia.
The Medieval Warm
Period partially coincides in time with the peak in solar activity named the Medieval
Maximum (1100-1250 CE). Thus we might assume that an increase in solar
activity will increase temperatures. We are experiencing such increases at
present, and we might deduce from that activity what levels we might expect to
experience notwithstanding human activity which is argued to exacerbate the
temperature rises. The backward sunspot reversing the magnetic direction of the
poles has just been sighted on the Sun and that indicates the next cycle has
started. Scientists say it will be the most intense in over 50 years.
The Little Ice
Age occurred 1400-1850 CE and the Medieval Warm Period was from 800-1300 CE.
Thus the period between 1300 to 1400 saw a decrease in world temperatures associated
with the thermal water circulations in the Atlantic. This was also associated
with the El Nino and La Niña situations emanating from South America into the
Pacific.
The results were that during the MWP in
North America a relatively dry situation prevailed with droughts in the Central
USA. Also East Africa had a dry period over this time. Europe was warmer and
grapes and other warm climate vegetation were grown in Southern Britain. Such
activities were also undertaken in Roman times in Britain.
There were
distinctly cold periods about 1000-1100 CE in Antarctica, thus illustrating the
fact that "MWP" is a moveable term. Wikipedia points out that during
the "warm" period there were periods of both warmth and cold
regionally.
During the MWP,
prolonged droughts affected many parts of the western US and especially eastern
California and the western Great Basin. Alaska experienced three time intervals
of comparable warmth. These periods were 1-300 CE, 850-1200 and post 1800.
This would seem
to accord with the fact of the port activities in the Mediterranean at the time
of Christ, and subsequently when the port of Ephesus was a significant sea
port. Subsequently, it became a dryland city and was abandoned as the
population moved some seven miles south to the new coast at what is now
Kusadasi in modern Turkey. The sea level drop was approximately seven feet.
Such a drop was also evidenced on the Australian Coast.
Corals in the
tropical Pacific Ocean indicate that relatively cool, dry conditions may have
persisted early in the millennium. These conditions are consistent with La Niña
patterns. There is a scarcity of data for Australia for both MWP and LIA
conditions. Wikipedia states that evidence from wave built shingle terraces
argues for a permanently full Lake Eyre during the Ninth and Tenth centuries,
consistent with this La Niña-like configuration.

The evidence of
itself is inadequate to show how lake levels varied from year to year, or what
climatic conditions elsewhere in Australia were like. However, observations
over the last 200 years indicate that when Lake Eyre is full the conditions to
the east of it are consistently wetter that normal. Rain forests have existed
in the plains.
Adhikari and
Kumon (2001) have verified there, the existence of both the MWP and the LIA
from sediments in Lake Nakatsuna in central Japan (ibid).
From the time frames and the core samples
of the Saragossa Sea (see Wikipedia op. cit.) we see the two-degree
fluctuations (one degree above and below our present level) and we might thus
deduce that the noted variations have resulted in the seven feet, or just over
two metre rises in mean sea levels.
From recent reports concerning the
Greenland Cap we are now faced with a degree of melt that is some three times
faster than initially measured from 1997 to 2003. Readers will be aware that
this paper was first issued in 1997 before any of this was really evident, and
the conventional wisdom of the time showed a much longer time frame for any
activity to become obvious. The fact is that the one foot, or 30 cm rise took
three and a half years to effect and not the expected millennia.
It is quite clear that the two degree rise
is not only a normal fluctuation experienced twice before in two thousand
years, but that it also consistently occurs at the end and beginning of each
millennium, and lasts for between three hundred and four hundred and fifty
years. The result is that sea levels rise by at least seven feet each time.
There are approximately 28,500,000 cubic
kilometres of ice on the world’s caps and glaciers. At present, based on
observations of the Greenland cap, which has 10% of the ice, and is melting at
the rate of some 240 cubic kilometres a year (three times faster than observed
in the period 1997-2003), the annual loss might be 2400 cubic kilometres a
year. For the seven feet loss we will need to increase another one-degree mean
sea temperature.
In the colonisation of Greenland ca 982-996
CE under Eric the Red, it was noted that Greenland was in fact two islands in
summer. It was uninhabited when the Danes arrived from Iceland in 982 and they
lived there for some 450 years. Eric had to flee with his family and relatives
and thralls from Iceland (called Thule) as he killed a man there. The last
Paleo-Eskimo culture, the Early Dorset, disappeared in Greenland ca 200
CE, which was towards the end of the Roman Warm Period.
The colonists were thought to have been killed
by the Eskimos (Inuit) when the temperatures dropped and their lifestyles
became untenable. However, recent evidence shows that there is a European
admixture to the Greenland Eskimos coming from the Celts, and there is also an
Eskimo YDNA Haplogroup Q line in an area of Norway from Eskimos introduced by
the Vikings from Greenland.
The Dorset culture (named after Cape Dorset
where they were found) were taller people but less aggressive. They had spread
to, or from North America and the last settlement was found in Hudson Bay. They
were found in 1824 on the visit of HMS Griper, which anchored off Cape Pembroke
on Coats Island in Hudson Bay. They were called Sadlermiut. They lived
on and around Southampton Island. Their contact with westerners was to be their
undoing and by 1896 there were only 70 left. In 1902 on a visit to the whaling
vessel Active they contracted a disease (probably Typhus) and the
community was wiped out in weeks. Their DNA is not known as yet (cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorset_%28culture%29)
Thus we can see that the fluctuation in
mean sea levels at seven feet occurred twice in rising and twice in falling
over the last two thousand years. The fluctuations in the earlier periods may
have been greater. We have evidence from the Piri Reis map, which was compiled
in 1513 by the Turkish navy from far older maps obtained from the library at
Alexandria before it was burned, that shows the coast of Antarctica properly mapped
and the American and African coasts shown in the correct longitudinal and
latitudinal relationships. We could only determine both these relationships
from the 1700s as the skill had been lost and was not understood when the map
was compiled. The map indicates significant water level fluctuations and
significant temperature rise and melt in Antarctica over the earlier “Warm
Periods” probably the Roman Warm Period. It also indicated West Africa was
significantly wetter as its river systems and lakes are mapped even in the
Sahara where none now exists and there were very large lakes in Central and NE
Spain. NW France seems to be underwater NE of Brest (see Cyrus Gordon, Before
Columbus, Turnstone Press, 1972, pp, 71-73)
We can thus also conclude that a two-degree
rise in mean sea temperature will result in a seven-foot rise in water levels
over the period throughout the world. The last degree of the rise will cause
exponential increase in water level rise. For each degree over that rise we can
expect a consequent exponential rise in water levels. Temperatures have been
increasing since 1850 and we are now over one degree warmer and increasing
rapidly and the solar activity is also increasing. A predicted three to five
degree rise will see further exponential increases. The Greenland melt has
trebled since 2003 and will at least treble again this decade.
The end of the LIA in 1850 did not see a
rapid temperature rise but rather it became exponential as we approached the
middle of the Second century after the end of the cool period. In the 1700s the
Thames froze over and the people held markets on it in cold snaps in winter.
In Roman times, which was during the
previous Warm Period ca 1-300 we saw the Thames described as a wide estuary
much wider and more navigable than it is today. So also the rivers in England
in the MWP are depicted in tapestries and paintings as being much wider and
more navigable than today, giving historians the misconception that the
depictions were more imaginative. Much is incorrectly blamed on siltation.
Roman ruins in Britain had tiled marble
floors and there is later evidence of braziers being placed on them and marking
the floors. All indications are consistent with the drop in temperature from ca
300 onwards to 800 CE. The Roman buildings were abandoned for unknown reasons.
It was probably for the previous LIA between 300 and 800 CE.
The warm periods that commenced with the
end of one millennium and went for between 300 to 450 years into the next
coincided with some natural activities. One period coincided with the Bible
flood, and the Bible references to the springs of the deep might also be
understood to include the caps that were melted and formed the continuous rain.
We have God’s assurance He will not destroy the earth like this again but the
potential for a lesser impact should not be discounted as these caps fluctuate.
The next period would probably have been at the fall of Troy and the rise of
Israel under Saul and David and went down to the fall of Israel to the Assyrians
in 722 BCE.
We know for certain that the sea levels
were much lower than they are at present and that those levels rose and covered
larger areas of coastal peoples. We do not have the exact locations of their
civilisations to excavate. These large-scale rises are indicative of the loss
of polar caps that were in fact both on the earth’s landmasses. The North Pole
appears to have been at one stage over Scandinavia and into Northern Europe. It
headed towards Canada and now is heading back to Siberia. The Warm Period that
emerged ca 2200 BCE saw a rise in sea levels that covered the earth’s then
coastal civilisations. God may simply have caused a movement in the earth’s
axis and a rise in mean sea temperatures that caused massive rainfall and
permanent removal of the major northern polar cap. In that way He achieved the
global flood of the Bible and major sea level rises. If the North Pole was over a landmass and had
similar ice density to Antarctica then we are looking at a potential sea level
rise of over 400 feet assuming the larger ice age caps and glaciers and the
stabilisation of Antarctica in the East Basin. If the earth’s landmass was
flatter as we understand it was then the flood would have been universal. It
would also have created the Mediterranean Sea, as we know it. This event is
placed over 10,000 years ago instead of 4,200 years ago. Much of that age is
now underwater.
It follows to reason that as we have
increased more than one degree from the end of the previous LIA that the next
degree rise will see the exponential lift in sea levels to the seven feet
level. This will place the coasts back at Ephesus and inundate the Thames
estuary. All coastal areas will be affected. This should occur, based on past
models, over the next ten to thirty years. By 2015 a rise of at least two feet
could be evident. The faster the rise in temperature and the further it goes
beyond another one degree will see further exponential increases.
There will be massive refugee problems as
these rises occur. We will also see a number of Bible prophecies occur as a
result, regarding some cities being placed under the waves.
As we move towards the fulfilment of
prophecy we might mention another step in that direction. It has been decided
to dam the Tigris. Coupled with the draining of the swamps around the Euphrates
we will see the prophecy that men will walk over dry-shod. The Euphrates will
be split into seven channels. God will also destroy the tongue of the Egyptian
sea or gulf with the force of His breath or Spirit (Ruach) (cf. Isa.
11:15).
Many cities we know now will be unworkable
and cease to exist. Much of these activities will add to the problems we face
in planning and development, and the system we now know will cease to exist. We
need to plan in accordance with what we know will be the most probable
eventuality.
Pray that God inspires our leaders and
gives them eyes to see and ears to hear and the will to act in the interests of
the people and not themselves.

December 2007 Update
In 1997, the world scientists did not have
a clue as to what was happening to the world cycles. The scientists had
swallowed the incoherent rubbish of Evolutionists such that they actually began
to believe it as proven fact. They assumed a steady state environment for a hundred
thousand years. They ignored world history and the records of the nations. They
produced convenient explanations to downgrade or conceal the fact that Global
Warming is a repetitive cycle that increases and reduces world sea levels by
anything from seven feet or two-plus metres to two hundred feet or sixty
metres. In one instance, the increases were some four hundred feet or some one
hundred and thirty-two metres. We have the evidence for it, both archaeological
and geological, but the scientists don’t study other disciplines and anything
that conflicts with evolutionary propaganda is dismissed as a matter of policy.
Logic is usually thrown out the window in such conflicts.
Studies of the Global Warm Periods would
have shown, and do show, a set sequence every thousand years of the increase in
world surface temperature, through the increase in solar activity. Over the
last two Warm Periods, the increase in world temperatures and world sea levels
were consistent at seven feet, or just over two metres. We know this from
archaeological evidence and the history of peoples such as the British and the
Maoris. In the Medieval Warm Period, we know – from tapestries of the late
Anglo-Saxon and early Norman times – that rivers were much wider and the water
levels were much higher than they are now. In the Roman Warm Period, which
coincided with the rise of Ephesus as a seaport, the levels were seven feet
higher than they are now. The River Thames was much wider. Ephesus is now seven
miles inland and its dock is seven feet higher than the port at Kusadasi.
Historians explained the problem away as siltation, but to explain what
happened at Ephesus it also requires tectonic plate uplift. Roman buildings in
Britain show a sudden and significant drop in temperatures in the fourth
century such that braziers were brought into buildings and marked floors where
they had not been used previously, and the cultivation of wine in Britain
ceased. The Anglo-Saxons entered Britain after the Romans withdrew, and adapted
to the colder climate.
When we first interviewed scientists, the
estimates were a rise of a foot in sea levels in a thousand years. It actually
took less than five years. The benchmark for sea levels in NSW, Australia, is
at Fort Denison in Sydney Harbour. That water level is now well over a foot
higher, and increasing rapidly. The sandstone fort is going under water and
requires an extensive renovation. That was only announced recently. The fort
was built during the Napoleonic Wars for the defence of Sydney.
The historic evidence indicates that the
warming and cooling is fast and exponential. That fact is now being born out by
scientific observations, but the science is being misused to allow the control
of human behaviour in spite of the known evidence. The scenario is all being
set up for UN control in 2009. So also are a number of matters being set up for
the European Union. These matters are to be put in train after the next US
presidential election. From that time, a number of prophecies will be set in
train through the activities of the demons under Satan, using his human
devotees.
The current speed of the world sea-ice melt
is now causing concern to scientists that do not understand the history of the
matter. For example, if they studied Maori history, genetics, and linguistics
they would realise that about a thousand years ago, coinciding approximately
with the rise of the Medieval Warm Period, the Maori/Polynesian people – who
are comprised of the Hamitic C2 Haplogroup – and a smaller section of the
Indo/Malay O Haplogroup were forced out of South-East Asia into the Pacific by
the inundations of an island land mass there. Their traditions record the
inundation. Their C2 group does not derive from the Mongol C3 group or the
Australian Aboriginal C4 group. They derive from the C basic group, some of
whom are still found in the South-East Asian Coast from India to Vietnam. Their
language was based on an element of Indo/Malay and contains many basic words
found in Malay. So the Polynesians were forced to move from South-East Asia by
the last Global Warming in the Medieval Warm Period.
So, also, we will see many lowland peoples
forced to move in the next few years. It has all happened before.
An article published this week raised
concerns over the speed in which the Arctic ice sheet is melting in summer. The
article titled, “Accelerating Arctic Melt Worries Experts” (AP Posted: 2007-12-11
23:00:56 Filed Under: Science News
WASHINGTON (Dec. 11)) said:
“ - An already relentless melting of the Arctic greatly accelerated
this summer, a warning sign that some scientists worry could mean global
warming has passed an ominous tipping point. One even speculated that summer
sea ice would be gone in five years.
Greenland's ice sheet melted nearly 19 billion tons more than the
previous high mark, and the volume of Arctic sea ice at summer's end was half
what it was just four years earlier, according to new NASA satellite data
obtained by The Associated Press.”
A record 19 billion tons of Greenland’s ice sheet melted this
year, some 12% more than the previous high mark, and for the first time since
the end of the Medieval Warm Period some six hundred years ago opened the North
West Passage to shipping. Last year two scientists surprised everyone by saying
that the summer of 2040 could see the end of the sea ice entirely.
This week, after reviewing his own new data, NSA climate scientist
Jay Zwally said: “At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at
the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions”.
Scientists are no longer sure of
the rate (if they ever were sure of anything). This is either a blip or an
exponential increase in the steady rate of warming and melt. History indicates
to us that the move is much faster than these steady state climatologists
thought. We know from the ancient maps that the West Antarctic Basin was
ice-free less than three thousand years ago (see the Piri Reis Map in 1513 of
C.H. Gordon, Before Columbus, Turnstone Press, 1972, pp. 72-73). We also
know from the Norse records that in 982-996, when Eric the
Red went to colonise Greenland, it was in what was described as two islands in
summer and capable of being farmed, as reportedly was “Vinland” in Canada, when
his son, Leif Eriksen, got there.
This rate of warming is being
blamed on the burning of coal, oil and other fossil fuels that produce carbon
dioxide, and other greenhouse gasses that are held to be responsible for
man-made Global Warming. That may be an arguable case regarding the effects of
man on the climate, but the current Global Warming is part of a normal sequence
of warming that is solar induced and occurs every thousand years, and lasts for
four or five hundred years. This time we will get the seven-foot rise and, as a
result of human activities, it will rise even further. Nothing humans do will
stop it rising at least seven feet. It does so each time it warms. Depending on
where the polar caps are, the rise or fall can be greater. If the Earth’s
magnetic core moves on to Siberia and the Antarctic basin rises, we may find
that it actually drops in level. That, however, will force the North-east Asian
population south and west.
Greenhouse gasses are not the
cause of Global Warming. They are part of an argument put forward within the
false paradigm of steady state climatology within the parameters of the
Religion of Evolution.
To understand the full effects
of Global Warming we need to look to the geological records of continents to
see what has happened in the past. For example, in past Warm Periods, Australia
has actually increased its inland rainfall and moisture level, both filling
Lake Eyre for centuries and forming rain forest at Moree.
What the Bible says is to happen
makes Global Warming part of a much more horrific scenario that we will examine
in a wider context.
2007 was not supposed to be such
a record year, but it was far greater than anyone expected. Of particular
concern was the Greenland cap, which has a direct effect on world-sea water
levels. For 30 years its pattern of melt has varied to a high followed by a few
years of lesser temperatures and melt. 2005 was a record and so 2007 was
expected to be less, but it was not and was, in fact, much higher than 2005.
Konrad Steffen of the University of Colorado, who collected the data, is
concerned that 2008 might be even higher. Some other NASA scientists think it
might be back to normal in 2008. However, the previous Warm Periods reached a
plateau in a very short time and stayed there for some four centuries.
Surface temperatures in the
Arctic Ocean this year were eight degrees above normal.
The Associated Press Report
listed the records set by the 2007 Arctic ice melt as follows:
”• 552 billion tons of ice melted this summer from the Greenland ice sheet,
according to preliminary satellite data to be released by NASA on Wednesday.
The melt was 15 percent more than the annual average summer melt, beating 2005s
record.
• A record amount of surface ice
was lost over Greenland this year, 12 percent more than the previous worst
year, 2005, according to data the University of Colorado released Monday.
That's nearly quadruple the amount that melted just 15 years ago. It's an
amount of water that could cover Washington, D.C., a half-mile deep,
researchers calculated.
• The surface area of summer sea
ice floating in the Arctic Ocean this summer was nearly 23 percent below the
previous record. The dwindling sea ice already has affected wildlife, with
6,000 walruses coming ashore in northwest Alaska in October for the first time
in recorded history. Another first: the Northwest Passage was open to
navigation.
• Still to be released is NASA
data showing the remaining Arctic sea ice to be unusually thin, another record.
That makes it more likely to melt in future summers. Combining the shrinking
area covered by sea ice with the new thinness of the remaining ice, scientists
calculate that the overall volume of ice is half of 2004s total.
• Alaska's frozen permafrost is warming, not quite thawing yet. But temperature
measurements 66 feet deep in the frozen soil rose nearly four-tenths of a
degree from 2006 to 2007, according to measurements from the University of
Alaska. While that may not sound like much, "it's very significant,” said
University of Alaska professor Vladimir Romanovsky.” (ibid.)
The fact of the matter is that
we are in an accelerating Global Warm Period and it will increase the melt and
heat-rise by at least another degree in the next few years.
The current areas of sea ice
reflect about 80% of the sun’s heat from the Earth. As it decreases, the Earth
heats up even more, and the cycle increases yet again.
The scientists who are saying
that they can reverse the trend do not understand the history of the matter and
the natural cycles. We are just entering what we will term the Millennial
Warm Period. Nothing whatsoever will stop that from happening, even if we
turned off every engine on the planet. We will just make it worse.
The result will be wars over
land and water and resources. Huge displacement of peoples will occur. The
Earth will be faced with chaos and a regime of control will be implemented to
enslave humanity. Satan understands the cycles. He knows what is to happen. He
will use them to destroy humanity, but he will fail because Messiah will be
sent to intervene. That intervention, however, will not save his servants in
the short term. Satan and his servants will all be dealt with in the Second
Resurrection (see the papers The
Judgment of the Demons (No. 80) and The Resurrection of the Dead (No.
143)).

Thaw of world's
glaciers reaches record high:

A thaw of the world's glaciers has accelerated to a new record, with some
of the biggest losses within Europe – in the Alps, the Pyrenees and the Nordic
region – in a worrying sign of climate change, the UN Environment Program
(UNEP) said.
"Data from close to 30 reference glaciers in nine mountain ranges
indicate that between the years 2004-2005 and 2005-2006, the average rate of
melting and thinning more than doubled," it said.
"The latest figures are part of what appears to be an accelerating
trend with no apparent end in sight," World Glacier Monitoring Service
(WGMS) director Wilfried Haeberli said.
The estimates, based on measuring the thickness of glacier ice, indicated
an average loss of about 1.5 metres in 2006, up from just over half a metre in
2005. UNEP said that the thinning was the fastest since monitoring began.
Since 1980, glaciers have thinned by about 11.5 metres in a retreat blamed
by the UN Climate Panel mainly on human use of fossil fuels. The thaw could
disrupt everything from farming and power generation to winter sports, and
could also raise world sea levels.
Climate 'canaries'
UNEP head, Achim
Steiner said: "There are many canaries emerging in the climate change coal
mine. The glaciers are perhaps among those making the most noise."
Of almost 30
reference glaciers only one thickened in 2006 compared to 2005. Some glaciers
shrank less in 2006 than in 2005.
Mr Steiner said that Governments had agreed to work out by the end of
2009 a new pact to succeed the UN's Kyoto Protocol, which binds developed
nations except the United States to curb emissions of greenhouse gases.

What we are now seeing
is a counter attack based on the Bond and de Vries cycles. The scientists are
misusing the Bond cycle to declare a 1500-year cycle when the millennial system
is not properly understood. The cycles are also discussed in the Appendix.
Temperature increases
have slowed and it is now being claimed that Global Warming is not occurring
and what will happen is the drop in temperature associated with the Bond cycle
based on the false assumption that it is 1500 years in duration. That premise
comes from the ice core samples. What is not appreciated is that the
precipitation is affected by every millennial cycle and the rates of accumulation
vary between Warm Periods and Ice Ages every 500 years. Evolutionists will
simply not shift their paradigms from this steady state nonsense.
The measurement of
temperature also varies in these periods. The stalling of the Gulf Stream will
see temperatures drop in the north Atlantic with problems for Britain,
Scandinavia and Europe over the melt phase. Scotland will freeze over this
period and become Tundra. Once the melt phase is complete, provided the core
remains stable, the temperatures will rise as they did in the Medieval Warm
Period.
Each Warm Period has a
dramatic effect on Global Climate. Each Ice Age has an equally dramatic effect.
The Piri Reis Map shows evidence of another
period before the seventh century that saw the West Antarctic basis mapped and
ice free. The map was made by the Turkish Admiralty in 1513 from copies
allegedly obtained from the Library at Alexandria before the Muslims burned it
in the seventh century. The Chinese have similar map records and used the north
polar route in summer in the early 1400s. They gave their details of the
Atlantic maps to the Europeans in Rome in 1434. They sent a fleet to Rome via
Egypt and the old canal into the Nile and then on into the Mediterranean. Much
of our Renaissance knowledge comes from that visit.
It appears there was a
warm period which began just before the fall of Troy in 1054 and which ended in
the seventh century BCE. We have absolute proof of visits to the Americas at
the time of King David from the British and Berlin Museums. The mummies all
have tobacco residue in their hair samples and Berlin mummies all have cocaine
residue also.
It is also fairly
certain there was a portion of the change of cycle was accompanied by the
magnetic pole shift from Canada into the Arctic Ocean ca. 24th
century BCE. This caused the Siberian climate to change from warm temperate to
Arctic within minutes, and caused the mammoths to snap freeze on land and many
of the animals, including mammoths, to be washed into the catchments that we
find in excavations today and have done for centuries. This was what we refer
to as the Global Flood. This probably the event that this raised Australian
water levels from below the Continental Shelf to current levels. This was not
16000 years ago as is assumed by ANU scientists in the elimination of the Kartan tool technology but rather only 4300 years ago.

Perth electrical engineer’s discovery will change
climate change debate

A MATHEMATICAL discovery by Perth-based
electrical engineer Dr David Evans may change everything about the climate
debate, on the eve of the UN climate change conference in Paris next month.
A former
climate modeller for the Government’s Australian Greenhouse Office, with six
degrees in applied mathematics, Dr Evans has unpacked the architecture of the
basic climate model which underpins all climate science.
He has
found that, while the underlying physics of the model is correct, it had been
applied incorrectly.
He has
fixed two errors and the new corrected model finds the climate’s sensitivity to
carbon dioxide (CO2) is much lower than was thought.
It turns
out the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has over-estimated
future global warming by as much as 10 times, he says.
“Yes, CO2
has an effect, but it’s about a fifth or tenth of what the IPCC says it is. CO2
is not driving the climate; it caused less than 20 per cent of the global
warming in the last few decades”.
Dr Evans
says his discovery “ought to change the world”.
“But the
political obstacles are massive,” he said.
His
discovery explains why none of the climate models used by the IPCC reflect the
evidence of recorded temperatures. The models have failed to predict the pause
in global warming which has been going on for 18 years and counting.
“The
model architecture was wrong,” he says. “Carbon dioxide causes only minor
warming. The climate is largely driven by factors outside our control.”
There is
another problem with the original climate model, which has been around since
1896.
While
climate scientists have been predicting since the 1990s that changes in
temperature would follow changes in carbon dioxide, the records over the past
half million years show that not to be the case.
So, the
new improved climate model shows CO2 is not the culprit in recent global
warming. But what is?
Dr Evans
has a theory: solar activity. What he calls “albedo
modulation”, the waxing and waning of reflected radiation from the Sun, is the
likely cause of global warming.
He
predicts global temperatures, which have plateaued,
will begin to cool significantly, beginning between 2017 and 2021. The cooling
will be about 0.3C in the 2020s. Some scientists have even forecast a mini ice
age in the 2030s.
If Dr
Evans is correct, then he has proven the theory on carbon dioxide wrong and
blown a hole in climate alarmism. He will have explained why the doomsday

me years to figure this out, but finally there is a potential resolution
between the insistence of the climate scientists that CO2 is a big problem, and
the empirical evidence that it doesn’t have nearly as much effect as they say.”
Dr Evans
is an expert in Fourier analysis and digital signal processing, with a PhD, and
two Masters degrees from Stanford University in electrical engineering, a
Bachelor of Engineering (for which he won the University medal), Bachelor of Science,
and Masters in Applied Maths from the University of Sydney.
He has
been summarising his results in a series of blog posts on his wife Jo Nova’s
blog for climate sceptics.
He is
about half way through his series, with blog post 8, “Applying the Stefan-Boltzmann
Law to Earth”, published on Friday.
When it
is completed his work will be published as two scientific papers. Both papers
are undergoing peer review.

With Ice Growing at Both Poles, Global Warming
Theories Implode

In the Southern Hemisphere, sea-ice levels just
smashed through the previous record highs across Antarctica, where there is now
more ice than at any point since records began. In the Arctic, where
global-warming theorists preferred to keep the public focused due to some
decreases in ice levels over recent years, scientists said sea-ice melt in 2014
fell below the long-term mean. Global temperatures, meanwhile, have remained
steady for some 18 years and counting, contrary to United Nations models
predicting more warming as carbon dioxide levels increased.
Of course, all of that is great news for humanity —
call off the carbon taxes and doomsday bunkers! However, as global-warming
theories continue to implode on the world stage, the latest developments will
pose a major challenge for the UN and its member governments. Later this month,
climate “dignitaries” will be meeting in New York to forge an international
agreement in the face of no global warming for nearly two decades, record ice
levels, and growing public skepticism about the
alleged “science” underpinning “climate change” alarmism.
As The New American
reported
last month, virtually every falsifiable prediction made by climate
theorists — both the global-cooling mongers of a few decades ago and the
warming alarmists more recently — has proven to be spectacularly wrong. In many
cases, the opposite of what they forecasted took place. But perhaps nowhere
have the failed global-warming doom and gloom predictions been more pronounced
than in the Antarctic, where sea-ice levels have continued smashing through
previous records. For each of the last three years, ice cover has hit a new
record high.
The most recent data show that the Antarctic is
currently surrounded by more sea ice than at any other point since records
began. In all, there are right now about 20 million square kilometers
of frozen sea area surrounding the Antarctic continent. That is 170,000 square kilometers more than last year’s previous all-time record,
and more than 1.2 million square kilometers above the
1981-to-2010 mean, according to researchers.
“This is an area covered by sea ice which we've never
seen from space before,” meteorologist and sea ice scientist Jan Lieser with the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems
Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) told Australia’s ABC. “Thirty-five years ago
the first satellites went up which were reliably telling us what area, two
dimensional area, of sea ice was covered and we've never seen that before, that
much area. That is roughly double the size of the Antarctic continent and about
three times the size of Australia.”
Despite having predicted less ice — not more — as a
result of alleged man-made global warming, some alarmists have comically tried
to blame the record ice on “global warming.” Indeed, in a bizarre attempt to
explain away the latest findings, Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC boss
Tony Worby tried to blame “the depletion of ozone”
and the “warming atmosphere” for the phenomenal growth in sea ice —
contradicting previous forecasts by warming alarmists, who warned that ice
would decrease as temperatures rose along with CO2 concentrations in the
atmosphere.
The biggest problem with Worby’s
claim, however, is the fact that the undisputed global temperature record shows
there has been no warming for about 18 years and counting — contradicting every
“climate model” cited by the UN to justify planetary alarmism, carbon taxes,
energy rationing, massive wealth transfers, and more. Dozens of excuses have
been concocted for what alarmists refer to as the “pause” in warming, as many
as 50 by some estimates. The Obama administration’s preferred explanation, for
which there is no observable evidence, is often
ridiculed by critics as the “Theory of the Ocean Ate My Global Warming.”
However, scientists and experts not funded by
governments to promote the alarmist narrative say the observable evidence
simply shows the man-made CO2 theories and “climate models” pushed by the
“climate” industry are incorrect. More than a few climate experts and
scientists have even warned that a prolonged
period of global cooling is approaching quickly. The consequences could
potentially be devastating — especially if warming alarmists succeed in
quashing energy and food production under the guise of stopping non-existent “warming.”
Also in response to the fast-expanding ice, some
die-hard alarmists and warming propagandists styling themselves “journalists” have
recently been hyping a relatively tiny part of the Antarctic ice sheet that
may — centuries or even millennia from now — go into the sea. Numerous
independent scientists and experts quickly debunked the fear-mongering, however,
pointing out that it was almost certainly due to natural causes and was nothing
to worry about.
In an ironic incident that sparked laughter around the
world, a team of “climate scientists” who set out to show how Antarctic ice was
supposedly melting ended up getting
their ship trapped in record-setting ice — in the summer! Millions of
taxpayer dollars and massive quantities of fossil fuels and CO2 emissions were
required to rescue the stranded and embarrassed warming alarmists after their
misguided adventure.
Another key tactic of the warmists
to deflect attention from the expanding polar ice in the Southern Hemisphere
has been to hype changes occurring in the Arctic instead. Unfortunately for the
alarmists, however — critics often ridicule the movement as a “cult” for
desperately clinging to its beliefs despite the evidence, not to mention the
“Climategate” scandal — that will now be much
harder to do with a straight face.
“After the very high melt rates of the 2007-2012
period, the trend reversed in 2013 and especially in 2014 when the melt fell
below the long-term average,” explained German professor and environment expert Fritz Vahrenholt, adding that the heat content of the North
Atlantic was also plummeting. “In other words: The 21st century climate
catastrophe is not taking place.”
Decades ago, of course, Newsweek
reported that Arctic ice was growing so quickly due to man-made “global
cooling” that “scientists” were
proposing to melt the polar ice cap using black soot. Fortunately, cooler
heads prevailed. More recently, “climate” guru Al Gore had been
regularly predicting that the entire polar ice cap would be gone by now.
Instead, it is now far more extensive than when he made his now-discredited
predictions.
Of course, UN bureaucrats, many of whom depend on
sustainable alarmism for their livelihood, still have their heads in the sand
about the implosion of their theory. On a call with reporters last week, for
example, UN “climate team director” Selwin Hart, who
serves under Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, claimed
an upcoming global-warming summit in New York “will be a major turning point in
the way the world is approaching climate change.” He may be right, though
probably not in the way he intended. The conference, which will be skipped by
key world leaders, is meant to put climate alarmism “back on top of the
international agenda,” Hart added.
In the United States, meanwhile, as the evidence
continues to contradict the alarmist predictions, polls consistently show that a solid majority of Americans reject the
UN’s man-made global-warming theories. Like the UN, however, Obama
continues to act as if the discredited theories were gospel, promising to save
humanity from their carbon sins by lawlessly
bypassing the U.S. Senate and the Constitution to foist a planetary “climate”
regime on the American people. Lawmakers have vowed to prevent any such
schemes, but it remains unclear how far the White House is willing to push the
issue. After failing even with a Democrat-controlled Congress, the
EPA is already working to impose Obama’s anti-CO2 schemes on America by
executive decree.
With the evidence discrediting UN global-warming
theories literally piling up on both ends of the Earth and everywhere in
between, alarmists face an increasingly Herculean task in their bid to shackle
humanity to a “climate” regime at next year’s UN summit in Paris. However, to
protect the public — and
especially the poor — from the devastation
such a planetary scheme would entail, Americans must continue to expose the
baseless alarmism underpinning what countless scientists now refer to as the
“climate scam.”
